Visit the Blackwater Valley with The Farnborough Society
Here is a date that you will definitely want to mark in your dairy: Friday 14th August. Why? Because on that date The Farnborough Society will be the guests of the Blackwater Valley Countryside Partnership, to explore this rich and diverse landscape that is right on our doorstep.
We shall meet at Rowhill Nature Reserve, Cranmore Lane, Aldershot, Hampshire GU11 3BD. Our guides from Blackwater Valley Countryside Partnership will give a presentation on the partnership’s work to improve the environment of the river, a tour of Rowhill Nature Reserve and show us various activities in which the Partnership is engaged. This is an event that will appeal to all ages, and to people with a wide range of interests: photography, flora, fauna, the environment, health and family entertainment, so it is likely to popular.
The Blackwater Valley Countryside Partnership’s aims are:
- Maintenance of the valley as an open gap with enhanced landscape
